Behind The Bars

BEHIND THE BARS

At the time he was tortured. He felt a hammer tore holes in his skin
He shouted
No one heard him

He closed this eyes
He saw her
A little sweet daughter
Running among trees behind bars

His tears fell
She gave him a little seed and said: "baba please plant it between the bars"
A strong tree will grow
Climb it, run away and come to me
It is the seed of love and hope
I'll wait you daddy

I love you.

No one knows
In Syria, thousands of people are missing or detained by the Syrian government. Relatives are pleading to find out what happened to them and of course no one knows where are they.

Detained for delivering milk
It’s impossible to give a precise figure of the number of detainees in Syria because no international observers have been given access to detention centers. Estimates of those behind bars vary wildly -- from 200,000 to as many as 300,000. As of January 2018, the Syrian Network for Human Rights says at least 215,000 people are believed to be in the custody of authorities, including women and children.
People arrested are not given the bullet of mercy – they die from being over-tortured or from untreated disease. The Syrian regime does not have mercy.” A UN commissioner recently said that conditions in Syrian prisons are so bad they amount to “extermination”.
Some have been detained for peaceful opposition, simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time or for the “crime” of delivering milk.
